Brookview's teaching staff is experienced and well-trained. Most importantly, they enjoy giving lessons to players of all skill levels.

To schedule a private lesson, call the Brookview Golf Shop at 763-512-2300.

MICHAEL TURNBULL has been teaching golf since 1977 and has been teaching at Brookview since 2005. A three-time winner of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Leader award, he also served as the PGA Head Professional at Balboa Park GC in San Diego and at Baker National GC in Medina, Minnesota.

Michael emphasizes learning by doing, rather than thinking about doing. You will learn from each and every shot you hit. You won’t have to memorize a series of movements, remember a lot of instructions, or try really hard to do anything right. Students will have many choices about how they want to swing a golf club, instead of trying so hard to swing the “right” way. For more information on Michael and Mindful Golf, visit his website.

ALEX TEGELS is a lifelong student of the game and has been teaching for nearly 10 years. She focuses on youth golfers, making the game fun and getting them excited to keep learning! Prior to returning to the Minneapolis area, Alex worked for the Southern California PGA on player development programming, teaching lessons throughout the community to interest new players in the game. In addition to private lessons, she offers afterschool enrichment programs throughout the western metro. The goal is for players to walk away from the lesson feeling confident and excited to play!
